Despite losing a close vote to unionize in an election marred by the Tennessee government's union-busting tactics, the United Auto Workers will come to Chattanooga anyway. Workers at the new plant will be represented by the Union and will work closely with Volkswagen as part of a 'works council.'

Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Oregon, Kentucky, Montana, Arkansas, North Dakota, Mississippi, New York. North Carolina, Missouri, Oregon, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, South Carolina, and Florida. Those are the states whom, so far, have had someone file a "We the People" petition to secede from the United States of America in response to Obama winning the 2012 Presidential election. Texas is the only one to reach the 28,000 signatures needed to warrant a response from the Obama administration and Governor Rick Perry has weighed in.
