Kansas Governor Sam Brownback is as right wing and ideologically-driven as they come, and nowhere is this more evident than in the sustained attacks he's made on women's health and reproductive rights in the Sunflower State.
Minority Leader Paul Davis, the head of the House Democrats and candidate for governor, was lackluster in his opposition to the deplorable Kansas bill that enshrines discrimination against gay people, said LGBT-rights advocates. In a press release Davis made no mention of the civil rights violations, only briefly mentioning "critical challenges" for families.
Stark contrasts in the economic policies of Texas, Kansas and Missouri will show further evidence of what it takes to lure quality employment — or minimum wage jobs — to a community. Large tax cuts and even larger cuts to education stand in one corner, entrepreneurial businesses offering good salaries may stand in the other. America will see.
