Egypt's chief prosecutor on Wednesday referred 20 journalists from the Al-Jazeera TV network, including four foreigners, to trial on charges of allegedly joining or assisting a terrorist group and spreading false news that endangers national security. It was the first time authorities have put journalists on trial on terror-related charges

Cited as a reason for closing some 20 American embassies and consulates this month in the face of an al-Qaida threat, U.S. officials said last year's deadly attack on a U.S. diplomatic installation in Libya also is playing heavily into the Obama administration's deliberations on how to respond to the growing unrest across the Arab world's most populous country.

As the Arab Spring takes another turn in Egypt, the world watches and wonders what the future may hold. Supporting improved stability of local infrastructures can work to improve the opportunities of Middle Eastern high-tech entrepreneurs. The ability of these entrepreneurs to create career opportunities for the emergent Millenial population in the Middle East directly impacts the stability of infrastructure everywhere.

As video of this alarmingly intelligent and articulate young man begins to sweep the Internet, it'd be good to recognize his many points and ideas — and not just his ability to deliver them in front of a camera. Egypt's continued turmoil is hugely important on a global scale, but no where bigger than locally within the country. The young man's points sound familiar, don't they?

There was a lot of noise made about how the GOP and Democratic campaigns for POTUS would suspend activities for the commemorations of September 11th. Apparently Mitt Romney and GOP Chairman Reince Priebus didn't get the message.
Egyptian rioters massed to protest an anti-Muslim movie by a Florida jackass who claims to be a pastor, and the U.S. Embassy put out a statement condemning the movie. This did not pacify the rioters, who stormed the U.S. Embassy and killed a staffer.
