GM Announces $1.3B in Midwest Factory Upgrades, Further Proves Bailout's Necessity

Despite claims that bailing out General Motors in 2009 would turn the United States into a communist country, new evidence shows that the action was a necessary one. Earlier this week, General Motors announced plans to spend $1.3 billion to upgrade five factories in the Midwest. This comes on the heels of last week's announcement from Ford that they were hiring 500,000 new jobs.
