New Western New England Poll Shows Warren's Lead Holds Steady

Elizabeth Warren has been able to hold onto a lead against he Republican opponent Scott Brown.  Her lead remains unchanged in a new poll.

The Western New England University  poll shows Warren holding steady to her five point lead over Republican Senator Scott Brown.

According to Mass Live,

In terms of overall favorability, both candidates saw their positive ratings drop slightly and their negative ratings climb. Warren's favorable/unfavorable rating is now 50 percent to 41 percent among likely voters, compared to 53 percent to 33 percent just three weeks ago.

Brown's favorable/unfavorable rating is currently 52 percent to 36 percent, compared to 54 percent to 32 percent in the previous Western New England University poll.

There is also an enormous gender gap.  Warren slams Brown among women, beating him substantially 61 percent to 35 percent, a 26 point lead.  Brown leads Warren 56 percent to 38 percent among men, only an 18 point lead, although still substantial.

Warren has pinned Brown to a Republican Senate majority, and with a recent revelation that Brown's preferred Justice, Scalia believes laws banning sodomy are Constitutional, this may hurt him a progressive Massachusetts.

The next debate between the two candidates takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Symphony Hall in Springfield, MA at 7PM ET.
