NJ Governor's Office Quietly Fires Yet Another Sandy Recovery Contractor

The Christie Administration fired another Sandy Contractor. Didn't hear about it? Just like when they fired HGI last month, they didn't announce this one either:

The Christie administration is quietly terminating a contract with a second company involved in a much-criticized program for Sandy victims, WNYC has learned.

Those homeowners who were relying on URS Corporation to supervise the rebuilding of their homes are being notified by state officials this week that the job will be picked up by another company.

The contract is ending 15 months early according to WNYC. You can hear Matt Katz's report below:

Once again the Christie administration says performance issues have nothing to do with the termination of the contract. If that's the case, it makes you wonder why these firings are secret. As is, it looks like they have something to hide.
