YO! Pascrell and Sires! Wake up and Smell the (In)Equality!

The office of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced that she, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and 130 of their colleagues are going to court to defeat the Defense of Marriage Act, filing a brief in an ongoing challenge to the law.

Sixty Democrats choose to NOT sign on, including North Jersey Congressmen Bill Pascrell and Albio Sires. Let's encourage Pascrell and Sires to join the rest of the New Jersey Democratic delegation and standing for equality.

In Pascrell's case, since he's a co-sponsor of the bill to overturn DOMA, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that his commitment to Speaker Pelosi's amicus brief is forthcoming. But Sires stands alone in his decision to support neither legislative nor judicial attempts to overturn the so-called "Defense of Marriage Act."

So WTF, Albio? are you a hater or are you just not paying attention?
