With Detroit’s finances looking increasingly dire, the city’s creditors are beginning to face off with one another, each trying to minimize their losses. The city’s pension fund, which supports retired city workers, has found itself in direct conflict with a formidable opponent, the bondholders, individuals and institutions that gave the city money in order to enjoy the interest on the loan.

CO Marijuana Decriminalization Ad Features Denver Police Hero

A strong new TV ad airing statewide in support of Amendment 64 features a highly decorated former Denver Police Lieutenant explaining why his 36 years of experience on the force led him to believe that "regulating marijuana like alcohol means safer communities."
In the ad, DPD Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipient Tony Ryan says:
There's plenty to do without having to spend all your time going around and looking for a marijuana bust. It's a matter of setting your priorities.
