Enough Room to Offer Donations for Jesus and Muhammad

You may have missed it, but a harmless joke from Jamie Foxx - a reference to Barack Obama as "our Lord and savior" - has stirred up the predictable sectors of the outrage machine. I almost missed it, until Todd Akin's campaign reached out to its fundraising list and reminded me of its existence.

Nothing Secedes Like Secession

Success! Already getting over three thousand paranoid temper tantrum signatures.
So, do the out of state signers get to vote in Missouri if this gets on the ballot here? Think about that for a minute.

New Support for Todd Akin

According to Talking Points Memo, Todd Akin's got a super PAC - a real one - behind him and they're ponying up $800,000 to place ads asking folks to vote for Akin because he'll help tip Senate support to a potential Romney administration. Guess they haven't seen the latest polls or else they wouldn't be counting their chickens before they're hatched. It doesn't necessarily  look like there's going to be a President Romney....

Attorney General Chris Koster (D): Ed Martin (r) smackdown ad

Narrator: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says Ed Martin is unfit for office. And Martin is running a campaign of pure hatred and dishonesty.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics called Martin one of the most corrupt politicians in America. And while martin might not want to advertise that we thought voters deserved to know.

Yard Sign Litmus Test

A split ticket yard sign display in upscale urban Kansas City, via an anonymous source:
It took strong sentiments to permit those fence posts to be driven into that manicured lawn.

Evidently, for some, Todd Akin's (R) crazy talk isn't as palatable as Mitt Romney's (R) mendacity.

MO 'Traditional Marriage' Mailer in Support of Todd Akin

A mailing arrived today on behalf of Todd Akin (R-MO) from CitizenLink, an entity associated with the James Dobson founded right wingnut group Focus on the Family.
Stock wedding photo. Hey, wait a minute, that wedding dress seems a little risque for a right wingnut "family values" campaign mail piece.
