Watch Cory Gardner's Jedi Mind Trick: ‘There Is No Federal Personhood Bill’

Watch Cory Gardner's Jedi Mind Trick: ‘There Is No Federal Personhood Bill’
Colorado U.S. Senate candidate Cory Gardner has made national headlines for adopting a campaign strategy that de facto concedes he can not run on his record, because his Tea Party-era positions are much more conservative than is Colorado. This is the case on litmus test issues such as climate change, renewable energy development, health care reform, LGBTQ equality and, most dramatically, women’s reproductive rights. He's now using Jedi Mind Tricks to further obscure his record, as the accompanying video clearly shows.

National Review Writer: Hang Women Who Have Abortions! Hang Their Doctors! Hang the Attending Nurses!
The Mackinac Center is the country's "largest state-based free market think tank," and thus peddles plenty of influence. So it's certainly disconcerting when one of its sponsored speakers says women who have abortions should be hanged...as should their doctors.

Debate over HB 14-1133, a bill that explicitly prohibits abortion and makes a violation a class 3 felony, kicks into high gear today at the Colorado Capitol — despite no chance that it passes the legislature's Democratic majority. Colorado Republicans keep complaining that their efforts aren't being fairly heard, but this is one bill they probably wish would go away quietly.

Tom Davis Jumps the Shark, Media Calls Move 'Moderate'
Former Rep. Tom Davis, a Republican who represented Virginia, has drawn criticism for his backing of extremist candidate EW Jackson in upcoming 2013 race for his state's Lieutenant Governorship. Although, the corporate media would just prefer to call him a moderate and, well, let's all go home. Nothing to see here.

TX, Congress Go Blue If Immigration Reform Goes Down

TX, Congress Go Blue If Immigration Reform Goes Down
If Republicans sabotage immigration reform, Texas Democrats may not have to wait for a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in 2016. Some leaders of the conservative movement and talk radio are mounting a campaign to defeat or destroy the immigration bill, acting in a way that suggests what some Republicans have called “the party of stupid.”
