Why is Coal Suddenly Becoming a Major Talking Point in the Presidential Election?

Why is Coal Suddenly Becoming a Major Talking Point in the Presidential Election?
It simply wouldn’t be an election year in the United States without the fictitious “war on coal” talking point rearing its ugly head. But something is different this year. In years past, the “war on coal” was admittedly fake, but today we really do have presidential candidates who have expressed interest in making the industry a thing of the past, and those quotes are being used as a catalyst to rally voters in coal-dependent states like West Virginia and Kentucky.

Littwin: Winners, Losers and Coin Tossers in the Iowa Caucus

Littwin: Winners, Losers and Coin Tossers in the Iowa Caucus
The voters have finally spoken, and, in a surprise, at least to the pollsters, it turns out they had a lot to say. First, they handed the Donald his first-in-the-nation loss, and to Ted Cruz at that. Trump gave a brief, humbled, un-Trump-like concession speech which made you wonder, now that his winners-win tour is over, if we shouldn’t have seen this coming.

Bernie Sanders Rocks the Free World of Denver - Neil Young Approves This Message
“Yeah, we’re over fire code,” a security guard said with a laugh and a shrug while eying the crowd at Bernie Sanders’ jam-packed town-hall meeting Saturday night. Around 5,000 people showed up to see the left-wing dark horse give his first stump speech in Colorado since launching his presidential campaign in May. People of all ages – mostly white – filled the air-conditioned gymnasium at Denver University well before the event was billed to start, though latecomers – or on-time comers – could still watch a live video feed on the outdoor lacrosse field.

NSA to Sen Sanders: We Can't Legally Tell You If We Spied on You

Bernie Sanders Can't Get a Straight Answer to a Simple Question: Is the NSA Spying on Congress?
Perhaps if the documented mis-truths spoken by General Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency, had not been so flagrant or if the public remained in the dark about how the spy agency has spied on the elected leaders of our own foreign allies, the idea of a U.S. Senator demanding to know if the NSA has used its surveillance powers to spy on U.S. lawmakers would be met with some degree of shock.

Bernie Sanders: 'We Have to Get Away from These Junk, Inadequate Insurance Programs and Provide Real Coverage'
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is never one to mince words: "As a nation, we should not be proud that people have quote-unquote health insurance, think they're covered, and then when they end up in the hospital they find that they have at most a few thousand dollars in coverage."
