Supreme Court Upholds Affordable Care Act

The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka "Obamacare," including the individual mandate.  It's apparently a complicated decision;  the vote was 5-4, and I'll link something reasonably clear and comprehensive when it appears.

You know, what I'd do, if you're jonesing for more right now, is check out Daily Kos, which has ongoing front page coverage.  My practice is to just ignore the Chicken Littles in the comments, over there.

Willard Mitt Romney, who spent part of yesterday bashing Obama on jobs during an appearance at a firm that does offshoring work, will claim a huge victory, as was his intent no matter how the court ruled.  Corporate media, with its overt bias, will of course back him on that, but I wouldn't take it too seriously.  The Obama campaign has been about three steps ahead of Romney's clown show (which so far almost makes Al Gore's and John Kerry's presidential campaigns look solid and effective), all along.  But, we'll see if there's much movement in legitimate polling.
