Jon Stewart on Paul Ryan's 'Makers v. Takers' Retreat: 'Yeah, You Built That S--t'

On The Daily Show Wednesday night, host Jon Stewart eviscerated Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-WI) ridiculous claims that he never referred to Social Security and Medicare recipients as "takers," even though he clearly did.
 

“Look, the idea that Republicans had actually characterized even Social Security and Medicare as hallmarks of a taker society, I’ll let the speakers from this year’s Republican National Convention in Tampa explain how that came to be,” Stewart said, playing a clip featuring various Republicans spouting the convention's much-maligned theme. “Yeah, you built that shit.”
