We learn that longtime assemblywoman Joan Quigley had a terrible loss last night. From her Facebook page:
My beloved husband, Jack, suddenly collapsed and died tonight. Please pray for both of us.
Assemblywoman Quigley represented New Jersey's 32 Legislative District for 18 years, into early 2012. In the 2011 redistricting, the part of Jersey City where she lived was shifted into another district and she decided not to seek a seventh term.
Our condolences to the Quigley family.
