Did the New York Post Bother to Cover Gay Marriage?

The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the New York Daily News, AM New York, Newsday... all the major newspapers distributed in the nation's largest city devoted serious front-page real estate to coverage of the Supreme Court's decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act.

So you'd expect the New York Post, on a day when there were no innocent runners to accuse of being terrorists, to devout at least some front-page space to the ruling, right?

Think again:

Only in the editorial offices of Murdoch's Post is a crime story about an NFL player accused of murder more important than one of the largest civil rights rulings ever laid down in this country.

Even the Boston Globe, the newspaper of record in the town where Aaron Hernandez's team is located, devoted more front-page space to the Supreme Court's ruling than Hernandez's arrest:

Maybe that's why the Boston Globe has won 21 Pulitzer Prizes, and the New York Post has won... zero.
