Cravaack only visits Minnesota 3 times every 2 months

... and has still only held 1 public, free and well-publicized event in Duluth, MN

Rep. Chip Cravaack (R-MN/NH) rarely makes it back to Minnesota. Last summer he moved his family to New Hampshire. Between politics in DC and family time in New Hampshire, confirmed public sightings of Cravaack are as rare as Bigfoot sightings.

Most of the time, Cravaack has staffers meet with constituents. He schedules them at the last minute and only in small towns. He avoids Duluth and other cities.

[Cravaack] also rattled off numbers about his constituent work -- 29 town hall meetings, 13 telephone town halls, more than 300 staff visits to cities throughout the district. The former Navy captain and commercial pilot said extensive, frequent travel to stay connected with the district, fulfill his duties in Washington and visit his family in New Hampshire doesn't faze him.

In 18 months in office, he's been back to Minnesota 29 times? That's 3 visits every 2 months.

Since Cravaack won't release documentation of how often he visits Minnesota, this is the only evidence we have.

And if you can take time off of work at the last minute and drive to whatever tiny town his staffer(s) are holding their meeting, you could talk to a staffer. Or Cravaack himself on the rare occasion he's back in MN.

When asked if he'll ever hold a free public event with any advance notice in Duluth, MN again. Here's how Cravaack responds:

That's right. You have it from the Ol' Chipper himself, he's planning "something special" for Duluth.

I'm not going to hold my breathe. Chances are he'll announce a daytime event at the last minute. That's where I'd put my money if'n I was a betting man.
